As usual, l'Internaute has released its ranking of the best high schools in France in 2024. The top school in the country, with the highest score, is the private school Stanislas in Paris, which has been the center of several controversies in recent weeks. Schools in the Paris region dominate the top of the list. It's not until the 24th spot that we see the first school outside of the Île-de-France region, which is the Lacordaire high school in Marseille.
The ranking is based on data from the ministry weighted with their methodology that considers 3 criteria: the success rate in the baccalaureate exams, the rate of students progressing from second year to baccalaureate within the school, and the rate of honors obtained by baccalaureate graduates from the school. Only schools that had more than 100 candidates taking the baccalaureate exams are included. In total, 4,300 high schools in France (general, technical, and vocational) were analyzed.
