It’s really starting to smell like the end-of-year celebrations in Nantes! So, we put on our hats, winter coats, and head out to enjoy the festivities in our beautiful city!

We’re filling up on treasures at the Second-Hand Market of Passage de la Châtelaine

From November 28 to 30, the Second-Hand Market is back for its 4th edition in the heart of Nantes, at Passage de la Châtelaine. In conjunction with Green Friday, this eco-friendly event celebrates the quality and diversity of second-hand items while kicking off the Christmas festivities. Stylish thrifted clothing, upcycled objects, retro vinyl records, vintage tableware, books, and handcrafted creations: about fifteen exhibitors are waiting for you to discover some real treasures. Between finds, treat yourself to crispy waffles and warm drinks, and explore engaged stands focused on zero waste and Furoshiki. A festive, ethical, and vibe-filled experience awaits!

Let's go explore this wonderful Christmas village!

From Friday, November 28, 2025, to Sunday, January 4, 2026, Rochefort-en-Terre (just 1.5 hours from Nantes), crowned the Marvelous Christmas Village, will light up every evening starting at 5:30 PM. Suspended garlands, sparkling icicles, shimmering curtains, and glowing Christmas trees redefine the village's outlines and highlight its exceptional heritage. As night falls, the historical décor dresses in a thousand lights, instantly transforming every little alley into a dreamy wonderland.

Exploring this castle during a magical evening by candlelight

Just about twenty minutes from Nantes, a usually quiet place is getting ready for its most beautiful nights of the year. The domain of Pervenchère in Casson will open its doors for enchanting nighttime tours lit only by candles. A rare and authentic experience awaits!antique, almost timeless!

On Fridays, November 21 and 28, and Saturdays, November 22 and 29, 2025, the estate will transform into an intimate illuminated pathway, where every room and corner will be softly lit by carefully placed candles. Instead of showcasing artificial scenery or modern installations, the château has focused on creating an atmosphere true to its history: moving shadows, silence occasionally broken by the creaking of wood, and the scent of warm wax... and the magic happens instantly. You’ll be able to discover the estate as you’ve never seen it before. From reception rooms to private apartments, all the way up to the attic of the tallest tower, the entire route has been designed to let the architecture speak for itself. No spotlights, no screens, just stone, wood, antique objects, and the gentle light of flames.
