The So good MAIF Festival wants to prove that commitment and good vibes can go hand in hand perfectly. For one day, the festival will take over Hall 1 & 2 SAMOA and then Stereolux to shine a spotlight on those who are making things happen locally. The idea isn't to sit through yet another lecture about the planet's future. Instead, the festival aims to inspire reflection, action, and most importantly, collective effort, with concrete solutions and plenty of enthusiasm. Encounters, discussions, performances, and humor will all feature throughout this day dedicated to ecological and social transition.

Women, forests, and clothes to mend

From 5pm to 7pm, Hall 1 & 2 SAMOA will host programming dedicated to those who are helping transform society. Patrick Scheyder and actress Clara Saadoun will notably present a performance about George Sand and her fight to preserve the f

Fontainebleau Forest. Texts by the writer and pieces by Chopin, Schubert, Miyazaki and Scheyder will dialogue on stage. A show that reminds us that ecological concerns are nothing new and that certain battles already had their pioneers in the nineteenth century.

The festival will also give the floor to Marie Eloy, during an exchange hosted by Jaleh Bradea around a particularly timely question: what could happen if women really had more power to transform society?

A Repair Therapy workshop, in partnership with Refashion, will also allow you to learn how to repair your clothes with simple and accessible repair techniques. A great way to take care of your garments and avoid parting with them at the first snag, so you can make your most beautiful love stories with them last.

Nantes switches to concert mode with Ayma and Miki

From 7pm onwards, head to Stereolux for an evening that swaps debates for decibels. Among the experiences offered, the "weather of p

annes Darty promises notably to turn household appliance headaches into a truly wild weather forecast, with the chance to win a second-life product. On the music side, the Nantes scene will be represented by Ayma, performing from 8:30 PM to 9 PM with their mix of rap, pop and electronic. The evening will continue with Miki, expected from 9:30 PM to 11 PM for a pop concert as free and uninhibited as they come.

Afternoon access is free from 5 PM, while concert tickets are available at €27.50 full price from 7 PM. A rather uplifting way to talk about transition: by debating, repairing, laughing… then dancing. The So good MAIF Festival invites Nantes on October 16 for those who prefer to build the future rather than endure it.
