On Saturday, April 26th, Pézenas didn't just vibrate; it literally shone a brilliant stroke across history. On Cours Jean Jaurès, 3,358 participants proudly donned their finest sailor stripes to claim a colorful world record. Goal achieved with flying colors, dethroning Saint-Didier-sur-Chalaronne and putting the city of Molière in the international spotlight. The result? Cheers of joy, striped hugs, and an electric atmosphere like only a slightly crazy challenge can create.

A little community on the rooftop of the shimmering world

Behind this large-scale operation is a team as motivated as a ship ready to set sail, led by the dynamic Tom Belhomme. This slightly crazy yet incredibly unifying project has brought together locals, tourists, volunteers, and partners in a massive collective enthusiasm. Because in Pézenas, stripes are not just a fashion statement: they are a state of mind.

Beyond the record and the wave of applause that followed the official announcement, it’s really the festive and friendly atmosphere that will stay in our memories. The smiles were as wide as the stripes on the knits, and the contagious enthusiasm energized the whole city. The cherry on top: this achievement also shines a spotlight on Printival Boby Lapointe, the unmissable musical event of the city. Pézenas proves once again that when it comes to bringing together tradition, gentle madness, and good humor, it’s full of surprises for us.
