From Producer to Kitchen, No Detours
Launched in February 2026, Mekla lets you order a wide selection of organic products from producers in the Montpellier region every week. The offering goes way beyond fruits and vegetables with dairy products, fish, meat, plant-based proteins, grains, legumes, beverages, sweet treats, ready-made meals, and even cosmetics.

The promise lies in a short supply chain designed to prioritize freshness: products are collected the day before delivery before being sent to customers. At home, at the office, or at a relay point, orders are distributed throughout Montpellier and its surroundings thanks to cargo bikes and a refrigerated vehicle.
A different way to shop in Montpellier
Behind Mekla is Mehdi Lassoued, 30 years old, originally from Millau and settled in Montpellier since 2025. After three years spent within an association of producers from Aveyron, he decided to launch his own project centered on more local and responsible eating.
The name Mekla means "meal" in Tunisian, a nod to its founder's paternal roots. The company is hosted by Terracoopa, a cooperative for business and employment based in Montpellier and Clapiers, which supports nearly 70 entrepreneurs engaged in agroecology-related activities. By adapting supplies to actual orders placed, Mekla also seeks to limit waste and overproduction. A way to rethink organic shopping in Montpellier while giving greater visibility to producers in the region.
