When the Mediterranean makes its way to the edge of the Ponant pond, it creates a delightful hideaway where you can eat, toast, and dance under the pines. After an initial season that delighted local food lovers, the Guinguette du Ponant is making its grand return, brought to life by its creator Henri Dupré. Originally from Agadir, this Mediterranean cuisine enthusiast dreamed of a place to share his memories of grilled skewers and fragrant spices. Mission accomplished : this spot has become a must-visit in La Grande Motte.

A sunny kitchen that warms the heart
In the kitchen, it's Lucien De Wenygaert and his partner Mohamed who bring the grills to life. Their specialty? Skewers that are both delicious and fragrant, marinated with love and cooked to perfection. On the menu, you'll find meat classics (beef, lamb, merguez) and ocean-inspired options with skewers of prawns and swordfish. All accompanied by a lovely selection of regional wines, to extend the joy.

The atmosphere is relaxed, plates are meant to be shared, and evenings stretch out under twinkling lights. In short, it’s the kind of place that smells like summer and you’ll want to embrace as soon as spring arrives.
