Technically, it’s an administrative detail. In concrete terms, it’s THE thing that changes everything: the site was previously classified as sector 1 (reserved for food-dominant businesses, a legacy from the Géant Casino era). It has now shifted to sector 2, which is open to non-food businesses. Translation : Odysseum can finally fill this commercial gap with something other than a hypothetical replacement supermarket. The prefecture is clear about the plan: the restructuring includes the creation of eight medium stores, plus two shops of 130 and 137m². It’s a real redevelopment, not just a facelift.

Ten shops, eight medium stores

Not everything is set in stone yet. Will the businesses still in place in the gallery since the closure of Géant Casino stay? It’s not guaranteed: some shops might have to close temporarily during the renovations (for at least six months) and some could even take advantage of the opportunity.

to never reopen. Another question stirring the local merchants is: will the famous "roof" of the site be removed to reveal an open sky, like the rest of the shopping center? For now, it's a mystery.

The details of the project are not yet public, but the goal is clear: ten more shops, a significantly enriched shopping offering, and an Odysseum that finally closes the long-unfinished chapter of the Géant Casino. Finally!
