On November 26, it's a double celebration in Montpellier! Not only is it the city's birthday, but it's also the kickoff for the Christmas lights! This year as well, 84 streets and squares in the Écusson will dazzle with lights, featuring two new spots you won't want to miss: the Arc de Triomphe and the Charles de Gaulle esplanade. On the eco-friendly side, Montpellier pulls out all the stops: recycled LEDs, decorations made from PET (plastic bottles), and 3D printers. It's a great way to shine while caring for our planet, with reduced hours to limit energy consumption: the lights will twinkle from 5 PM to 11 PM.

90 chalets are waiting for you
With its 90 chalets brimming with gift ideas, the Jardin du Peyrou becomes the must-visit spot in the Ecusson. There will also be 16 chalets dedicated to food, where you can find mulled wine, crepes, and local specialties. Visitors will even have the chance to vote for their favorite chalet and support local associations through the solidarity chalet.
DJ sets and blind tests
And if you're worried about getting bored after doing 15 laps around the Christmas market, we strongly encourage you to pop your head into the La Pause Enchantée tent: concerts, DJ sets, karaoke, retro dance parties, DIY workshops, blind tests… Surprising, isn’t it? Kids can join in on the fun too!
