It’s a tradition that never gets old. Every late autumn, the place de la Comédie gets dressed in its winter attire, ready to welcome its iconic Christmas tree. According to the City, its installation will begin on Thursday, November 20, just like last year: a natural tree ten meters tall, topped with a five-meter high decor. You could say it will definitely be a highlight in the heart of the Écusson.

Light Up, Warm Drinks, and Christmas Magic
The big moment will be on Wednesday, November 26, with the simultaneous lighting of the Christmas tree and the main streets of downtown. It’s an evening that the people of Montpellier always look forward to, as they watch the lights twinkle against a backdrop of music and sweet aromas. And starting from Friday, November 28, the Christmas market will open its doors at Peyrou, bringing together around a hundred vendors and artisans until December 31.
