Just a few minutes by boat from Bandol, Bendor Island is one of those places that seem frozen in time. Created in the 1950s by Paul Ricard, this small 7-hectare island off the coast of Var has long attracted artists, celebrities, and lovers of the Mediterranean. Closed since 2021 for a major renovation, it has recently reopened its doors, aiming to bring this mythical place back to life without losing its original charm.

A faithful revival in the spirit of Paul Ricard
After five years of work, Bendor Island is regaining its unique atmosphere thanks to the Zannier Hotels group, tasked with reinventing the place with subtlety. Historical buildings like Delos and Soukana have been renovated in an elegant and Mediterranean style, surrounded by pine forests, blooming paths, and stunning sea views. The goal is not to transform the island but to restore its chic and relaxed sanctuary soul.

A 5-star hotel, turquoise coves, and a massive spa
Bendor now welcomes a five-star hotel with 93 rooms, several restaurants, bars, a crafts village, and a huge 1,200 m² spa designed by Augustinus Bader. Paddle boarding, yoga by the sea, sunset cocktails, or swimming in the coves: everything here invites you to slow down. To reach this little paradise, just take the official shuttle from the port of Bandol, with only a seven-minute crossing.
