IFAG Montpellier: what if your school felt like real life?

The Editor

At IFAG, we break the mold and turn studies into a field of experiences. Here, theory never gets stuck in a notebook: it’s applied directly in real-world situations. The idea? Learn a trade by living it, not just by studying it, with impactful moments that leave a mark and truly help for the future, as well as work-study opportunities in all programs that provide valuable hands-on experience.

Less sitting, more action

Business games, concrete projects, team challenges, immersive weeks, junior consultant-style missions... Students spend more time experimenting than listening passively. We learn to manage, sell, recruit, or lead a project just like in a company, except we’re still in school.

Learning to handle pressure… with boxing gloves

In Montpellier, students in Human Resources and Management recently experienced a...

a unique moment outside the ordinary : Breathe & Brainboxing. What's on the agenda ? Comfortable clothing, gloves on hands, and immersive exercises to work on stress management, self-confidence, creativity, and leadership.
Breathe is all about learning to slow down, refocus, and get to know oneself better. Brainboxing, on the other hand, is the opposite : a collective intelligence workshop that encourages quick decision-making together in complex situations. Two complementary ways to prepare for the real professional life, where you must keep a cool head and make choices.

A Week to Step Out of Your Comfort Zone

In their third year, students experience their first week of specialization. It’s an intense time where they choose a topic from the 27 IFAG campuses across France, travel, meet students from other IFAG campuses, and dive into an experience that's as collective as it is personal. In Montpellier, the week turned into a true inner journey: breathing workshops, yoga, dance, working on emotions, confidence, and stress management. There were powerful moments, sometimes unsettling, often liberating – but always helpful in learning to push beyond your limits.

Becoming a manager… differently

In BAC+3 and BAC+5, there's the Engaged Manager Week. For several days, students work on their posture, their uniqueness, and their vision of management. Management in a changing world, managerial courage, kindness at work: here, we don’t train "cookie-cutter" managers, but aware, humane, and responsible profiles. Personalized coaching, working on emotional intelligence… and even a little theater to learn public speaking skills. Yes, getting on stage is part of the learning experience!

Learning differently, for real

At IFAG, we don’t just train students, but profiles ready to enter the workforce: autonomous, resourceful, comfortable speaking in public and working in teams. In short, young people who know how to do, not just recite. Less rigid classes, more real-life experiences. Less disconnected theory,

no more real situations. Because deep down, the best way to learn is still to live what you study.
