In Montpellier, we don’t just throw away an old building, we recycle it into a dream spot! Just take a look at the highly anticipated opening of the Montpellier Base Artistique, nestled just a stone's throw from the Saint-Roch train station. This former commercial space, which closed its doors last December, is now bursting with culture, music, craft beer, and friendliness as its permanent attractions. Supported by the Bières d’Occitanie association and well-established local collectives, this urban café fits perfectly into the larger transformation project of the southern neighborhood. Goal: to reconnect the center of the city with the suburbs and the vibrant hearts of Saint-Martin and the MIN. All under the label “Permit to Imagine,” which allows for boundless citizen creativity.

And the MBA doesn't do things halfway. On over 1,000 m², you'll find a club ready to make the walls vibrate, a dance room where you can groove to everything from yoga to kuduro, a kitchen-bar that smells of local goodness, and a shaded guinguette that brings the essence of summer and homemade mojitos. And to celebrate all of this, a vibrant inauguration on Friday, June 27th! Starting at 5 PM, we’ll have live painting, an acoustic concert, a 90s-2000s party in the club, and a dance workshop: the MBA is setting the stage with flair. Montpellier might just have found its new base… artistic, festive, and truly for everyone!
