The proof is in the highly anticipated opening of the Montpellier Artistic Base, nestled just steps away from the Saint-Roch train station. In this former commercial space, which closed last December, culture, music, craft beer, and a friendly atmosphere now take center stage. Supported by the Bières d’Occitanie association and local collectives firmly rooted in the area, this urban guinguette is part of a broader transformation program for the southern district. Goal: to reconnect the city center with the suburbs and the vibrant hearts of Saint-Martin and the MIN. All of this comes with the label “Permit to Imagine,” which allows for free-flowing citizen creativity.

And the MBA doesn’t do things by halves. In over 1,000 m², you’ll find a club ready to make the walls vibrate, a dance room where you can move to everything from yoga to kuduro, a kitchen bar that smells of local delights, and a shaded terrace that wafts the essence of summer and homemade mojitos. And to celebrate all this, a colorful inauguration this Friday, June 27th. Starting at 5 PM, we'll have live painting, an acoustic concert, a 90s-2000s themed night at the club, and a dance workshop: the MBA sets the scene with flair. Montpellier may just have found its new artistic, festive, and truly popular hub!
