It is actually a mistranslation of the Provençal word Plana which does not mean plain but flat! As you may have noticed, the neighborhood is built on a plateau and not in a plain! That's why from the buildings of Cours Ju or Notre Dame du Mont, you can overlook a part of the Phocaean city and have a face to face with the Bonne M.Be happy!
