Anse de Malmousque

Malmousque is not only the only calanque in the heart of Marseille, but it also offers an amazing view of the Château d’If and the Frioul island. If you feel like it, you can dive into the water at sunset, or even better, plan a little happy hour instead!

Les Goudes

The tip of Marseille feels like paradise. The calanques at Goudes are stunning, with its little beaches, charming ports, and wild side that leave us in awe. There are plenty of spots to relax and take in the beauty of nature. The little extra: for a chill American-style vibe, you can park at the Bay of Monkeys, right by the sea.

The Open Sea

The best spot for a sunset? The open sea. No noisy neighbors, no scrambling to find a spot on the rocks. What's on the agenda? A beautiful sunset, peaceful swimming, and drinks on board. Book a boat with SamBoat and go see the sunset from the sea. No license needed, you can even bring a skipper along. Spoiler: you're going to want to do this again.

Prado Beaches

Picture yourself enjoying a nice cold beer from the Red Lion, lounging on the Prado beaches, soaking in the sun's reflection on the sea. Doesn’t that sound just perfect?

Roucas Blanc Beach

Not far from the Prado beaches, Roucas Blanc Beach has its own charm. You can enjoy the sunset while sitting at the friends' hut, where a friendly atmosphere is guaranteed. Whether seated at a table or on a bench, you can even grab a bite to eat if you get a little hungry, all with your feet in the water.

Pharo Park

If you're not into beaches, Pharo Park will welcome you to enjoy the sunset. The view? The port of Marseille, Fort Saint Jean, MUCEM, the Cathedral of the Major, and the sea.

Vallon des Auffes

Sitting on the terrace, on the rocks, or by the little fishing port of Vallon des Auffes, you'll enjoy an exceptional sunset while soaking in the picturesque vibe of the neighborhood. Located in the heart of Marseille, you’ll be just in time to get back before dinner.

Notre-Dame de la Garde

Our last suggestion, but definitely not the least: Notre Dame de la Garde. While the Virgin watches over the people of Marseille, she also offers a 360-degree view of the city. Perfect for enjoying the sunset, right?
