A giant mural by Jul painted on a building

Ahh Marseille, the Bonne Mère, the Old Port, and… the giant portrait of Jul! The Marseille rapper is also watching over the locals at the entrance to the city! You can't miss it while driving on the A55. Visible for several months near the Cité Consolat in the 16th district, this giant portrait stood over 23 meters high and 15 meters wide. It was created by artist Hoveh, who, as a fan of the Marseille rapper, worked with 5 rope-access painters over 5 days to complete the masterpiece.

A giant mural of the Calanques at l’Estaque

Let’s go on an adventure to l’Estaque, where talented artists have transformed a bland wall into a vibrant masterpiece featuring the stunning Calanques on a 16-meter-long mural. Created at the request of a restaurant, the idea was to design a decor that would give you the feeling of having lunch by the seaside. And that’s exactly what the amazing duo, Éban Mural, envisioned and painted over three long weeks, resulting in a breathtaking outcome! With turquoise waters, pine trees, and lush vegetation, you’ll feel completely immersed!

A giant mural on the theme of solidarity

In honor of the solidarity born from the health crisis in Marseille, this artwork has made its home on the wall of one of the buildings in the Val Plan neighborhood. Created by the street artist Louis Lambert, famous for his vibrantly colorful works, he unveiled a giant mural that celebrates the wave of solidarity from residents during the lockdown. It also pays tribute to the refugees lost at sea and honors women and their important role in the unity of the community.

A portrait of a woman 46 meters tall

Supported by the MauMA school (Museum of Urban Arts in Marseille), a facade in the northern districts of Marseille has transformed into a massive street art piece where artistic performance goes hand in hand with youth reintegration. Colombian artist Zurik drew inspiration from many women to create this portrait. The idea is for everyone to be able to relate to her. This portrait, standing over 46 meters high, has revitalized the walls of this building and adds color to the northern neighborhoods of the city!

A giant mural titled “the boat without oil”

As part of the open-air street art tour in northern Marseille organized by MauMA, Marseille artist Pom Pom is creating « The Oil-Free Boat ». With the help of young people in reintegration, this 480m2 mural in the 15th arrondissement of Marseille reflects the residents of the neighborhood, all aboard this boat, sailing towards a new future in this newly developing area.
