It's no surprise that the pizza chefs from the south of France will be there! Among them, some have already tried to win the title, like Yan Cotta who showed his talent at the Pizza World Championship in Rome 2 years ago alongside Matthieu Boisseau. Capo Pizzeria in Pennes Mirabeau with Jean-François Cortez will also be competing, alongside Guillaume Martinez from Pizza Lea in Allauch, Lucas Palazzo at Ratatouille in Aix-en-Provence, Kevin Vernet at Pizzeria Il Grano in Gardanne and finally Laurent Pavia from 3 M in Marignane.
6 challenges and a panel of experts
This year, the competitors will be judged in 6 crucial challenges focusing on technique, flavors, and baking. In addition to the initial categories: classic pizza, pizza due, largest pizza, most creative pizza, fastest pizza, and freestyle pizza, the jury will also evaluate the overall performance and creativity of each pizza chef., dessert pizza, speed and acrobatic pizza, the competition welcomes a new category.Responsible pizza makes its entrance in the contest! Pizza makers will have to show imagination and use healthy, environmentally friendly products by favoring local producers and short supply chains! A great initiative in line with our times!
