In the 10th arrondissement of Marseille, the iconic 26th Centenary Park is now called the Jean-Claude Gaudin Park.The former mayor of the city passed away on May 20th and inaugurated the development of this park in 2001, a beautiful homage to honor his memory and his actions. Awarded the title of « Remarkable Garden » in 2005 by the Ministry of Culture, the park covers more than 10 hectares, a true « green lung » for the city.

23 years later
In the Menpenti neighborhood, 23 years later, the park has been named after the person who inaugurated it and who served as the mayor of Marseille for 25 years. Today, the park Jean-Claude Gaudin, as it is now called, features two playgrounds for children, a pétanque court, a 30,000 m2 lake, and also four themed gardens.inspired by a Provençal, Oriental, African, and Asian garden. A park that represents the people of Marseille and the cultural diversity of our beautiful city!
