Of all the things we do during a day, there is one that we prefer: talking.
To discover the cities where inhabitants are the most talkative, the language learning platform Preply questioned over 1,500 residents of 15 of the largest cities in France about how often they exhibit certain behaviors in their lives and how they perceive inhabitants of other cities. Preply then analyzed the data to determine the most talkative and least talkative cities on a scale of 1 to 100 (100 being the highest talking score). The study reveals that certain cities in the country are home to inhabitants who are more chatty than others.nts rather extroverted. The city officially named as the most chatty in France is Marseille with a "chatter score" of 96.7 out of 100. It is followed by Bordeaux and Montpellier, in second and third positions.

This situation has only become more pronounced with the rise of remote work. A study by Preply revealed that marketing professionals are the most talkative workers in France, with a "chattiness score" of 84.1 out of 100. They are closely followed by real estate agents and recruiters.

Older generations can engage in more detailed conversations, while younger ones often prefer short and quick digital forms of communication. This diversity in communication styles is reflected in daily interactions. The study shows that millennials are the most talkative generation, with a "chatter score" of 53.4, closely followed by Generation X (52.4) and baby boomers (50.7).
