Here it is, the back-to-school time has arrived! Summer is gently coming to an end, kids are heading back to school, and we’re diving into September with our hearts full of sweet memories. And to kick off the year on the right foot (and looking sharp), what could be better than a little tour at the must-visit merchants' flea market? Perfect timing, because it will be back this Saturday, September 7th in Marseille, packed with great deals, a friendly atmosphere, and plenty of music to enjoy!

The merchants' flea market is getting bigger!

A can't-miss event for back-to-school, the flea market invites the city’s merchants to set up in front of their shops and offer a variety of items at amazing prices. It’s an open invitation for all Marseillais and other visitors to stroll through different neighborhoods in the city, which will be pedestrianized for this occasion, in search of fabulous bargains!

This year, in addition to the usual areas – Rue de Rome, Saint-Ferréol, Davso, Grignan, Paradis, Opéra – the sale is also set to extend to Place Valère-Bernard in the Vauban district, all the way to Centre Bourse, and even to Mazargues on Rue Raoux, featuring a lively band to get the vibes just right. And because good news never comes alone, the sale will also introduce a brand new market showcasing 100% Marseille artisans at the Opera square, with 18 stalls offering unique items at unbeatable prices. And the cherry on top? DJ sets will liven up the entire city center for a fun shopping experience with great music.

A Caring Start to the School Year

So, it’s the perfect time to refresh your wardrobe for the new school year or rethink your décor, while also decluttering at home. Because in addition to offering you tons of great deals, the merchants' sale also cares for those in need and offers...Two clothing collection stands from SAMU Social, as well as a stand from Secours Populaire dedicated to collecting small appliances for students. So this is a great chance for you to get rid of that old toaster or those famous clothes lying around in your closets, while making someone else happy!
