The El Mordjene spread with Kinder Bueno flavor and "toasted hazelnut cream", which has won the hearts of online fans and caused major stock shortages everywhere, can no longer be sold in France and Europe because it doesn’t meet the standards... This news has brought forth a wave of protests from its loyal followers, and we totally get it; it was just too delicious!

El Modjene VS Nutella

The spread marketed by the Cebo group was flying off the shelves this summer, even surpassing Nutella in price per kilo at €12 per kilo, while the Italian brand was priced around €6 to €8. But what’s up with this sudden ban after three years of being sold and all the hype online? Officially, the ban on El Mordjene spread is linked to its composition. It’s not about its Nutri-score. that’s a bit worrying: rated E, this product has a significant amount of saturated fatty acids (6.67%), fats (26.7%), and sugar (53.3%), making it quite similar to classic Nutella.

Algeria isn’t on the list of countries allowed to bring this type of product into the European market. According to Article 20 of Regulation No. 2202/2292 of the European Union, which addresses the importation of dairy-containing food products into the EU, this spread cannot be legally sold in France…
