The Editor

La Ciotat, as you probably already know, is THE city of Pétanque and believe it or not, we have found the café where the game was invented. Formerly Le Bar de l'Horloge, it became Café in 2015 after a carefully crafted makeover. However, it still remains the place where the marriage between boules and the cochonnet began! The Café de l'Horloge, which has stood the test of time and now proudly overlooks the sea, continues to bring La Ciotat to life. Despite the name change, it retains its authenticity and allows locals and visitors to enjoy a meal from 7:30am to 7pm, 7 days a week, whether on the terrace, at the counter, on the mezzanine, or in the EMMAÜS reading corner.

To continue our delicious journey, we invite you to discover Café Acacia by Maison Acacia, a place that stole our hearts from the moment it opened. Just like Maison Acacia, Café Acacia has an incomparable charm. This concept-store café offers good coffee, sweet treats, decor, artisanal products, groceries, music, and a good mood, all available to enjoy on-site or to take away. It's a true delight in both form and content!

Imbued with a strong Mediterranean culture, La Ciotat offers addresses with singing accents, including le Four Pop. Founded in 2021, Four Pop is a restaurant-pizzeria that uses ONLY fresh Italian products. On the menu, melting burratas, crazy antipasti, but above all pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven.
In the same vein but in a completely different style, we guide you to the Japanese restaurant Les Couleurs de Shimanati. Despite what fans may think, this incredible Japanese address serves EVERYTHING except sushi. In the context of a Japanese-Mediterranean fusion cuisine, passionate Japanese Chef Yuichira Shimatani promises you a journey you will remember for a long time.

Finally, for those with a sweet tooth and big fans of French pastries, you'll want to head to Carré Noir, where indulgence is not a bad thing.

Wakeboarding, towed buoys, water skiing, paddle boarding, canoeing, snorkeling, freediving... you name it, they've got it all.
