A recovery plan that wasn't enough
In 2023, Kaporal was taken over by three former executives who were determined to revive the brand. Their strategy? To focus on pop culture and save as many stores and jobs as possible. But facing a tricky situation and a struggling clothing market, their efforts fell short. In January, management still hoped to reach profitability, but the numbers remained far from expectations: 50 million euros in revenue for 2024, well below the 99 million of 2022.

So, Kaporal joins the list of brands hit hard by the crisis, alongside Camaïeu, San Marina, and even Burton of London. The textile sector is suffering: in 2023, sales stabilized but remained well below pre-pandemic levels.
