The optimal conditions for surfing in Marseille
Well, first of all, to surf you need wind, yes, but not just any wind: light or offshore wind, meaning wind blowing from the land towards the ocean for nice clean waves! Then, in terms of waves, you need at least one meter of swell and a period between each wave above 8 seconds. Let's be honest, the perfect surfing conditions are usually after a strong Mistral wind! So, it's not uncommon to see surfers with boards under their arms in Marseille! You just need to know the right spots, and for that, we've made a little list for you!
