If you find yourself in the Cannes area this summer, here is the place not to be missed! Open since July 13th, CANUA Island is a true floating paradise of 1750 m2 on two levels, located off the coast of Golfe de la Napoule. Restaurant, rooftop bar lounge, freshwater pool, sun loungers.... The establishment has everything you need to spend the day and evening in a laid-back atmosphere, under the sun of the French Riviera.

Panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea

For its first summer season, CANUA Island has gone big, starting with its 360° bar with an incredible panoramic view over the blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea and Golfe de la Napoule. Comfortably seated under the canopy of the rooftop, or on the ground floor for a cozier atmosphere, take the opportunity to discover...

Enjoy the beautiful menu of cocktails and wines from the region, and take advantage of the stunning view to watch the sunset at the end of the day.

One also comes here to indulge at any time of the day in a relaxed atmosphere! At the helm of the restaurant is Chef Thibault Sombardier, a finalist in the 5th season of Top Chef in 2014 and already heading 4 establishments.Parisian holidays. Throughout the summer, the chef introduces visitors to his gourmet and refined cuisine inspired by the Mediterranean and Italy. On the menu: burrata from Puglia and tomatoes, sea bass ceviche or grilled lobster for lunch; whole fish, grilled octopus or even braised spring chicken with thyme and fennel in the evening... A menu that honors the region's products and smells of freshness and sea spray.

As for the atmosphere, during lunch, the DJ plays some lounge music to let us sway to the rhythm of the waves, while in the evening, the calm ambiance gives way to the party with live singers and musicians who perform in all areas of the island.

A beach club with sun loungers and a freshwater pool

When you think of the French Riviera, you think of beaches and sunshine, and that's CANU.The Island has understood it well! In addition to its already exceptional restaurant and bar, the floating island opens the doors to its beach club, an area with sunbeds and a freshwater pool accessible from 12pm to 7:30pm. Parasols, showers, and changing rooms are available to spend the afternoon in complete relaxation and leave as fresh as when we arrived. Prices start from 50€ for a half-day mattress rental and 100€ for a two-person sun bed. For those who want to take the experience even further, water sports (paddle, e-surf, e-foil, etc.) and massages can also be booked in advance.

Founded by two sailors passionate about the sea and nature, CANUA Island combines sailing and environmentalism by committing to an eco-responsible approach. The floating island is equipped with a desalination system that allows it to renew its water without depleting freshwater resources, as well as a wastewater management system that prevents any harmful discharge into the sea. In short, that's two more good reasons to visit this summer!
