A brand new place to live, combining passion and friendliness, has opened its doors in Marseille, and it’s called: Mo:stera.
An unusual spot
This concept store, located in the vibrant heart of the city, on Rue de Lodi, brings together a specialty coffee shop, a bookstore dedicated to comics, mangas, and beautiful books, along with a selection of carefully chosen indoor plants. An unusual space where creativity, relaxation, and sharing are the guiding principles.
Mo:stera was born from the imagination of Sarah Maurel, a 33-year-old from Avignon, who created this place based on her three big passions: quality coffee, books, and plants. This project is the result of several years of preparation, specialized training as a barista and bookseller, and collaboration with talented individuals, including the architect.
Inside is Lisette Justo, a close friend of Sarah who designed and created every detail of the place. The name Mo:stera is a nod to Sarah's favorite plant, the Monstera, and to her nickname, "Mo." Mo:stera aims to be a welcoming space, where everyone can come to work, hang out with friends, or just chill. This concept store reflects her personality: authentic, passionate, and definitely focused on sharing.
À la carte
The coffee shop offers a menu that has been partially created in partnership with Café Corto, a Marseille-based roaster, ensuring high-quality coffee. You can also find a wide range of drinks, from all sorts of Lattes (Golden, Chaï, Matcha, Butterfly, Beetroot, Charcoal, ...) to sodas from brands like Mona, Limonaderie de Provence, and Pop Maté... Sweet tooth lovers can indulge in pastries from @lafabriquedegwen, while for lunch, the savory creations from @rodeo.cuisto wil satisfy your taste buds with vibrant flavors.

The bookstore features a curated selection of graphic novels, comics, and mangas, as well as beautiful books covering a variety of themes like photography, architecture, fashion, fine arts, and plants. Each title has been thoughtfully chosen to provide a unique experience. You can also order all types of books (literature, children’s books, school books… anything!). To enhance this original setting, Mo:stera offers indoor plants for sale, with species that will bring a touch of greenery and tranquility to any space. Sarah has also selected illustrations from talented artists, whose works are displayed and available for purchase.
