On June 21st, Marseille will pulse with the beat of the turntables, voices, and bass. From the Old Port to the Prado beaches, passing through Vauban and the Citadel, the city offers a shower of free events for all tastes. Here’s our selection that you definitely don’t want to miss.

Free Grand Concert at the Vieux-Port: Soolking as the Headliner

To kick off the Marseille Summer in style, the city is organizing a massive and free concert at the Vieux-Port starting at 7pm. DJ Trackworks will set the stage, followed by the electro crew Maraboutage at 8:30pm. At 10pm, the one and only Soolking will grab the mic for a show that promises to electrify the city center. It’s a historic first for the Marseille Music Festival!




Street Food Evening and DJ Sets at the Square

The Square is going all out for the occasion: a spacious terrace opening bright and early to welcome everyone in style. There’s plenty to enjoy: street food featuring a new addition to the menu—a delicious wood-fired kebab and a mouthwatering octopus kebab. On the music front, three DJ sets will take the stage starting at 7 PM: Santya (RnB, Pop), Trackworks (Hip Hop, Afro), and then Solstitium (Afro House) to keep the party going until 1 AM. And yes, the petanque court will be ready because we’re in Marseille, after all! Entry is free and open to everyone, so come and enjoy an evening filled with fun and togetherness!

Let’s leave the driving to others and get home safely!

We have all been there: it’s the end of the night, our feet are tired, our head is a little light, and that famous question… “How are we getting home?” Young drivers are particularly at risk on the road, especially when the vibe is festive. Fun Radio Live at Borély Beach: an amazing lineup!

In partnership with the Freestyle Cup, Fun Radio will take over Borély starting at 7 PM for a completely free and electrifying concert. On stage: Jungeli, Magic System, The Avener, Petit Biscuit, KeBlack… An XXL evening on the sand with Mico C spinning the tunes as the warm-up. It’s free, but you need to reserve your spot!

The Grande Guinguette at Vauban with Gigi and La Velada

Under the stars and at the foot of Notre-Dame de la Garde, Gigi and La Velada are hosting The Grande Guinguette which is back for a fiery 3rd edition. DJ Fab, TMO, and headlining, Monsieur Yann Muller on the decks. Not to mention food trucks, a tattoo booth… and all in a stylish and temporary spot. Please note, access is by reservation only.

The School Festival on the Esplanade Bargemon with Bengous and Paga

An event designed for families, with a 100% Marseille touch: Bengous and Paga as the hosts, fun activities, and concerts just a stone's throw from the Old Port. The city is putting children in the spotlight on the Esplanade Bargemon at the Old Port for a festive, free, and intergenerational Music Festival.

Melifera Takes Over Prado Beaches for a Techno Marathon

For the very first time, Melifera sets up its speakers at Prado Beach with a brand-new 20 kW sound system! From 2 PM to 11 PM, a lineup of DJs (Uman Yazar, Quentin BCS, Linchius…) will be spinning tracks with their feet in the sand. On-site: food trucks, games, a glitter bar, a chill area, and even a Joystick Techno station to create your own music. It's all about a free spirit and 100% good vibes!


Le Makeda is leaving the club for an open-air baile funk!

Head to the Léon Blum square on La Canebière, where Le Makeda is transforming the Reformers' kiosk into an urban dancefloor. Enjoy 100% baile funk DJ sets with MHF, Baltimores, and Led-K. Giant Karaoke and Street Food at the Cloître

For those who prefer singing to dancing, head over to the Cloître for an open-air karaoke under the palm trees. In a chic garden party vibe, the Jardins du Cloître will be serving up a global street-food feast. Expect a festive atmosphere, delicious plates, and an open mic. Free entry, reservations recommended.

Citadel of Marseille: world music and community dance

Fort Saint-Nicolas is hosting the Fête de la Musique from 2 PM to 11:30 PM. Enjoy performances from the Pierre Barbizet Conservatory, DJing workshops with CARLALA, and a mixed evening featuring gospel, flamenco, and Eastern music. It's a magical spot to dance among the ramparts, with Marseille as your stunning backdrop. Admission is free, and you can find the full program here.
