The Editor

This is THE festival to not miss in Marseille this spring. In the stunning Parc Borély, a green gem of the Phocaean City, get ready to experience three exceptional evenings, filled with a wonderful intergenerational atmosphere. From rap to electro-punk, and pop to dancehall, from June 12 to 14, Marsatac promises us a true crossroads of cultures, with music, amazing shows, and southern sunshine.

Marseille will (once again) make some noise

A festival that continually reinvents itself to offer an unprecedented experience to festival-goers at each new edition, Marsatac unveils this year Le Calage. The idea? To provide a third stage dedicated to local collectives, champions of club and DJ culture. A meeting with the vibrant heart of the city and its unmatched vitality, featuring Caribbean music, shatta, dancehall, rap, trap, baile funk from Brazil… A sound experimentation that is free, raw, lively, and resolute.

What’s new? “A Sunday at Marsatac,” a new closing format inspired by the festival's strong commitments, styled as a big popular celebration, crafted for families, from 7 to 77 years old, featuring activities for younger audiences. As the event's name suggests, the festival welcomes us on Sunday for a final day focused on inclusivity, solidarity, transmission, and ecological transition. In short, everything that makes Marsatac's DNA! To achieve this, a sunny, feel-good, and multidisciplinary music lineup, primarily from Marseille awaits us throughout the day, alongside workshops, games, meetings, and food trucks to recharge our batteries. The cherry on top? It's free for kids under 12, with a very accessible price of €15 (for all budgets).

The festival that captures the spirit of the times

Let’s not say too much, let’s just talk music. What are we listening to this year at Marsatac? As usual, the festival focuses on a live lineup featuring bold rap and Afro-Caribbean vibes, with some added flavors of pop, RnB, and electronic music. Expect current, popular, and unifying tunes that also cater to a lively Marseille community eager to explore (and re-explore) the best music that's out right now.

The lineup showcases the vibrant energy of a city at the forefront of rap culture. It represents a Phocaean city that serves as a gateway to Caribbean and Mediterranean music. Always in a warm, lively, and festive atmosphere.

Must-See Artists

So, which names have caught our attention? We start off strong with Ino Casablanca, performing on stage Friday, June 12. This is the kind of artist who’s impossible to label, shifting between rap, Latin sounds, Maghreb influences, and Caribbean vibes. On the same day, Meryl will also be there, with her tracks spinning everywhere, moving from shatta to rap without a word of warning in a wildly effortless way. On stage, it’s physical, it’s danceable… In short, it’s not to be missed. Finally, the last name that piqued our interest this Friday is, of course, La Mano 1.9.

With a debut album, R.A.T., already certified gold, a number 1 hit with “Parisienneand sold-out venues in just minutes… The artist checks all the boxes of the phenomenon of the moment.

On Saturday, June 13, it's time for the Boss Lady, aka Théodora, who obviously needs no introduction (unless you live in a cave). Queen of the new scene, she delivers hit after hit, stunning looks, and viral moments, always with an attitude and energy that's contagious. Get ready to warm up those vocal cords! To wrap it up on the same day, we’ll be introduced to Théa, a rising star in the emerging scene but already very promising, with her alternative, hypersensitive pop that sticks in your head.
