Whether you're a passionate manga lover, a video game fan, or simply curious to discover the richness of Asian culture, this convention is made for you. On March 8, 9 and 10, Japan Expo arrives at Parc Chanot in the 8th district, bringing joy to lovers of Japanese tradition. Unique moments await you, with opportunities to meet French and international artists, enjoy music, cosplay, traditional culture, animations, workshops, games, sports, martial arts... You'll be transported to a world where creativity reigns supreme and surprises abound.

Discovering Traditional Arts

When we talk about pop culture, we mean: music maestro! And not just any music! Japan Expo takes us on a musical journey with concerts ranging from pop, rap, electro, and traditional music to giant karaoke for singing your favorite anime theme songs together. The heavy metal group Asterism joins the event to make the salon walls resonate with their vision of "mass metal" which aims to be "a metal that reaches, resonates, and is loved by the masses", relying on their meticulously composed music and unique pop sensibility.

This year will once again be full of sports and martial arts with demonstrations and workshops on Kendo, Karate, Aikido, and even Shorinji Kempo, a traditional Japanese martial art of self-defense!

A packed program

The parades of traditional Japanese costumes will add a touch of grace and elegance to the event, while the stands will be full of treasures to discover: merchandise, Japanese craftsmanship, geek gadgets, and much more. The event encourages participation and interaction, offering visitors the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in this vibrant world with workshops of all kinds: calligraphy, ioakai shiatsu, K-ami origami, sharing…

Whether you're a spectator or an actor in this incredible adventure, one thing is for sure: you'll leave with memories full in your head and your heart filled with the contagious energy of Japanese culture and pop culture.
