Previously known as Le Barberousse, it’s now a brand new identity that has settled on the Old Port of Marseille. On the agenda: festive evenings all week long with different DJs, cocktails crafted by France's best apprentice in mixology, and a Marseille atmosphere that we love! A must-visit right away…

After Barberousse, it’s La Cale that comes to life in this bar at the Old Port of the city of Marseille. We dance, we sing, we drink, but most importantly, we have fun!

A story born from a group of friends

La Cale is above all the story of three partners, two brothers and their best childhood friend. Out of love for celebration, this group of friends took on the adventure of taking over an existing bar and transforming it to bring back its youth. A winning bet for the three best childhood friends!

La Cale, what’s that all about?

We’re not at the Old Port of Marseille for nothing! La Cale immediately brings to mind the space on wooden boats where goods are stored, and more specifically drinks, if you catch our drift… Its name is a lovely nod to the Marseillaise identity and the decor of the place. With all that wood, the bar evokes the spirit of the caravels from back in the day. It's a tasty journey into a wild atmosphere!

A Totally Festive Concept

Here, the concept is all about partying every evening with different DJs from the region, each bringing their own unique style. So there’s never a dull moment, and the music changes every day depending on the DJ spinning the tunes, making it a delight for future regulars!

On the bar side, La Cale offers what others don’t, namely shooter bottles for just €29, crafted by the best apprentice in France in mixology! The cocktails on the menu will also be easy on your wallet (expect to pay around €10 per cocktail). As for the schedule, La Cale brings the good vibes from Tuesday to Saturday, 8 PM to 2 AM. On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, local DJs take over the music scene, while Tuesday evenings are all about the sounds of the 80s and 90s filling the air.

And when we say bar, we definitely mean Happy Hour! To treat you right, all beers are just €5.50, and for bottles of planters and shooters, it’s buy 2, get 1 free! Why resist? You can't say no to a place like this!
