On Sunday, June 14th at 10 am, the Parc de la Tête d’Or is set to look quite different! For the very first edition of HOT GONE, hundreds of dachshunds and their owners are expected to gather for a delightful 2.8 km walk around the lake. Inspired by the famous Paris Sausage Walk, this Lyon event promises to bring a super feel-good vibe among enthusiasts, families, and simply curious folks who want to enjoy this XXL parade of sausage dogs. And considering the excitement around this breed—now in the top 10 of the most loved dogs in France—it’s safe to say, it’s going to be a blast!
to make the world.

Here, there are no timers or competitions, just a collective stroll where the dachshunds are the true stars. Some will come in chill mode, while others will likely be dressed to impress (we know dachshund owners – nothing is left to chance). The idea is simple: enjoy a friendly moment outdoors, in one of the most beautiful urban parks in Europe, with the added bonus of a food truck to make the experience even better. A perfect plan for a Sunday morning that breaks away from the usual, overly tame brunches.

A fun, accessible, and (super) stylish stroll
Behind the treats and little paws lies a true cause: supporting animal protection. HOT GONE isn’t just an adorably cute event; it also has a heartwarming, supportive side. The funds raised will be donated to Teckels Without a Cozy Home Association and the SPA of Lyon and the Southeast, two dedicated organizations working for the well-being of abandoned or struggling animals. Supportive goodies will be offered in exchange for donations, combining the useful with the adorable.

With this concept that's as simple as it is effective, Lyon might just have its next can't-miss feel-good event! Watching hundreds of dachshunds parade through the Parc de la Tête d’Or doesn't happen every day... and honestly, it's worth the trip. One piece of advice: even without a dog, come on down. When it comes to good vibes, you can't beat this!
