A story of friendship and passion
At the origin of this new Swedish cafeteria, two names: Anna and Katarina. Both originally from Sweden, around 19 years old when they arrive in Paris, they then have a real crush on France. But it is in Lyon that the two friends meet, a few years later! Settled in the city of lights, time goes by, the bond grows, as does the desire to make their project a reality. This project? It's the Kafé Stockholm!
Scandinavian culture at the heart of Lyon
In this friendly cafeteria located across from the Library on Saint-Polycarpe street, come and take a moment to discover specialties you may have never experienced before... Feeling "Hungrig"? (Means "hungry"), how about trying an "Ibra", made with homemade rye bread, homemade beef meatballs, and Swedish mustard potato salad? Or maybe you prefer the "Linné", 100% vegan? Ah, craving something sweet! How about a slice of "Äppel", with its delicious apple and almond flavor? Or a tasty "Kanelbulle", an iconic Swedish pastry? As you can see, traditional choices are plentiful at Äppel! (Yes, I dared.) Many recipes are on the menu, with more expected to arrive and regularly rotate. At Kafé Stockholm, everything is.Local, handmade, with an eco-responsible ethos. The team is entirely Swedish and allows us to appreciate authentic flavors. Only the drinks are inspired by multiple origins!

The newly opened Kafé Stockholm has big ambitions! The space is larger than it seems, and it's only natural since another room is located at the back. However, for now, it is still being prepared. With a backdrop of classic Scandinavian decor, the space can be used for workshops thanks to the wifi, private events can be hosted, there will be activities (a TV is being installed), festivities, etc... Not to mention the many pastries to come, a list of filled breads that is expected to grow, seasonal exclusivities! For example, I heard whispers of a Nordic mulled wine called "Glögg", which should make its appearance as winter approaches... In short, Kafé Stockholm still has many surprises in store!
Prices range from 2 to 12 euros depending on your choices and the form.All possibilities are possible. At the counter, you can also get snacks straight from Sweden! "Smaklig måltid"! (Enjoy your meal)
