Hello there, you old rascals! Since we know that giving up indulgent and calorie-rich evenings is definitely not part of your resolutions for 2023 (and that's a good thing), we're here with a brand new address dedicated to epicureans and other jolly good souls like yourselves. It's called Les Canailles de Raphaël, it just opened on January 19th at 32 rue Tête d'Or (Lyon 6th), and it smells like a hearty feast just the way we like it.
Does the famous "Raphaël" ring a bell to you? Well, of course it does: this is his 3rd great spot in Lyon 6 after Chez Raphaël (at 30 rue Tête d'Or, literally right next to Canailles) and Les Bons Copains de Raphaël (at 123bis Rue de Sèze). To run this new lovely venue, Raphaël partnered with Rémi Loureiro, the head chef of Chez Raphaël, and Julien Defour, with whom he founded La Cartonnerie, a wine distributor in Lyon offering over 200 French references for professionals and individuals.
Wine shop by day and wine bar by night with over 200 references
A love for good bottles that can be felt at Canailles de Raphaël. On the menu: a space of 80 m² with 60 seats, a double terrasse with 40 seats and over 200 wine references mainly regional (all price ranges, from everyday wine to vintage) in a concept of wine shop by day and wine bar by night where you can find the same wines available at the table. When it comes to food, they prepare excellent charcuterie boards (from Bello) and two very gourmet hot dishes (bone marrow and snails) to accompany the good wines.
The wine shop section offers bottles that can also be enjoyed on-site in the wine bar in the evening with an additional corkage fee. In addition to food and wine takeaway, Les Canailles de Raphaël also caters to events for individuals and professionals with a beautiful mezzanine that can be partially or fully privatized. The venue is perfect for organizing birthdays, stag parties, and other celebrations with friends, as well as corporate cocktail parties centered around delicious treats.
