Volotea may only be 13 years old, but it's already playing with the big kids! To celebrate its 75 million passengers transported since 2012, the Spanish airline has really pulled out all the stops. The special event flight will take off from Barcelona and head to Olbia in Sardinia to celebrate this symbolic milestone in style. Why Olbia? Because Volotea feels right at home there, that's why! And to mark the occasion, a welcome carpet measuring 75 square meters—the largest ever created in the world—was waiting for the famous 75 millionth traveler. This grand gesture truly reflects Volotea's spirit: friendly, accessible, with that bit of Mediterranean flair that makes all the difference.

75 free flights for the lucky winner... and their mom!

The star flight took off from Barcelona, the airline's birthplace, and welcomed on board...

a remarkable passenger: Carlos Muñoz, founder and CEO of Volotea, who came to share the moment in first-class emotion. And to make the event even sweeter, the big winner got to take home a gift matching the milestone celebrated: 75 free flights. Not alone, of course. With his mom, naturally. Because at Volotea, we never forget where we come from. The message is clear: Ciao Mamma, sono il passeggero 75 milioni.

A warm and cheeky wink to the brand’s DNA, which focuses on connecting medium-sized cities, where other airlines wouldn’t dare to venture. And what about France in all of this? It remains the heart of the engine: 63% of Volotea’s operations, the leader in domestic flights. Cocorico! In 2025, Volotea will introduce around 29 new routes in France and increase its capacity for offerings.of 8 million seats, which is a 9% increase compared to 2024. Domestic flights will remain a strong focus, with a plan to serve 68 routes, 66% of which will be exclusive, confirming Volotea's place as the leader in domestic connectivity in France. The capacity will reach around 3.2 million seats, representing a 19% increase from 2023. A nice round number, a future soaring high, and always a taste for beautiful stories to share… with family.
