Great news for lovers of Italy, al dente pasta, and shopping trips in the fashion capital: the Italian railway company Trenitalia is relaunching its line between Lyon and Milan, with tickets starting at €33! After several months of halt due to a landslide in 2023, trains will finally resume service starting April 1, 2025.

Two round trips a day with new stops

The Italian company is getting back on track with two daily trips between Paris and Milan. Along the way, the journey becomes more convenient with two new stops: Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne (Savoie), perfect for an alpine stop; and Oulx (Piedmont, Italy), just a stone's throw from the famous ski resort of Sestrières.

From Lyon Part-Dieu, it will only take 4h39 to reach the heart of Milan, just enough time to binge-watch a few episodes of your favorite series or plan your must-visit spots in the city.

An affordable Italian city trip

With tickets starting at €33, it's clearly the perfect plan for a cross-border getaway without breaking the bank. Between Spritz aperitifs on the Navigli, strolls under the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and a visit to the Duomo, there are countless reasons to treat yourself to a Milanese weekend.

The smart tip? Book your tickets quickly, because at this price, they might fly away faster than a Neapolitan pizza on a hungry table. Ciao Milano, here we come!
