Lyon-Saint-Exupéry continues to weave its European web, and this time, it's heading north! Volotea has just unveiled a new direct route to Billund, Denmark. Starting January 10, 2026, every Saturday, people from Lyon will be able to hop on a flight to the birthplace of the famous building blocks. Yes, it's in Billund that the iconic Lego bricks were created – and naturally, that's where the unmissable Legoland theme park reigns, a kind of Danish Disneyland where the rides are square and dreams are made of colorful plastic.

The world paradise of Lego and much more
But Billund isn't just for fans of mini-figures. The region is full of natural and cultural gems, from the Viking stones of Jelling to the poetic Vejle fjord and also Naturpark Lillebælt, the largest marine park in the country. A Nordic immersion easily accessible with a low-cost flight.
With this new route, Volotea adds its 11th European flag from Lyon, strengthening its local presence. The airline will offer over 3,500 seats on this unique route, perfect for adventurers seeking fresh air or families looking for a fun getaway. There's no need to take detours through Paris or Copenhagen; here, it's a direct flight with no competition or stopovers.
