The company easyJet opens a new exclusive route departing from Lyon

Starting from January 4, 2025, the airline easyJet will offer a new direct route from Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport to Newcastle. The connection will be once a week on Saturdays. With tickets starting from 35 euros, it's the perfect opportunity to fly off and discover a lesser-known yet charming city in the northeast of England. Newcastle, one of the most underrated cities in England With approximately 270,000 inhabitants, the city of Newcastle is located halfway between Edinburgh in Scotland and London. It is known around the world for its football team and the distinctive accent of its inhabitants, known as Geordies. It is a modern, artistic, and lively metropolis known for its original architecture and museums that make it a cultural city with a particularly warm atmosphere.

We recommend you to visit his Castle Keep (an illustrious castle dating back to 1178), stroll along the quays on the banks of the River Tyne, get lost in the typical streets of the city center, explore the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art considered a true emblem of the city's architecture, or even attend a Premier League match at the legendary St James’ Park which reveals the lively atmosphere of the city.

It's worth noting that the British company easyJet will also offer a new direct route to Berlin with two flights  per week on Fridays and Sundays starting November 8, 2024.
