The most unique feature: Blitz - Bazar & Gallery

.

Quirky odds and ends in the heart of the 1st arrondissement, Blitz is the little gem of a former compulsive buyer, and it shows. Handcrafted ceramics, unpublished books and magazines, zero waste toothpaste or pop art decor, you can find it all here, for gifting, for yourself, or just for a laugh! If you like bazaars and unique shops, then this is a good find: revolutionary in its kind, expect to discover a boutique that is quirky and exotic like you've never seen before, and to leave with hands full of products as whimsical as they are indispensable! Plus, the concept store also has an art gallery upstairs, where each new exhibition is accompanied by a small festive opening every 2 months. With that, lack of originality won't be something you'll be accused of in your future gifts...

The most creative: The canopy effect

.

An extensive selection of "Made in France" products that promotes local Lyon creators in the heart of the city center can be found at L'effet canopée! As the name suggests, the store is filled with botanical creations as well as fashion accessories and decorative items from notable French and international brands to style your interior in a unique and personal way, far from the Ikea catalog... If you feel creative, you can also participate in workshops where you can create your own product, guided by local creators. Whether it's making dried flower crowns, your own natural perfume, or a lovely embroidery, all you have to do is sign up!

The most European-made: The LAB

.

Not only is the LAB shop super cute, but they also have a great focus on knowing where their products come from. Say goodbye to Chinese factories with human rights violations and hello to European companies with consenting adults working. The items at the Lab are not only top quality, but they are also absolutely stunning. And contrary to what you may think, "buying local" doesn't have to break the bank at all. From small Lyon-themed decorative cards to vintage watches, plant pots, and unique jewelry created by the shop owner, they have it all. Leaving the shop empty-handed would be a real miracle, trust us...!

The LAB
5 rue François Dauphin - Lyon 2nd
Tuesday to Friday 10am-1pm and 2pm-7pm / Saturdays open continuously 10am-7pm

The Most Family-Friendly: The Sound of Happiness

Following the success of her first boutique, L'effet canopée, Pauline Stenpien presents her new gem: Le bruit du bonheur, whose name was poetically inspired by a famous quote from Jacques Prévert. Complementary to the first, Le bruit du bonheur offers an expanded space for babies and young children, featuring must-have brands like Bonjour Little for toddlers and Tajine banane for young moms. Here, you won't find creative workshops but a selection of various items for the whole family (plants, dried flowers, eco-friendly products, gift ideas, and home decor from many local and French brands) all in the same cozy atmosphere as its big sister. It didn't take much for us to be convinced!
