Try Hike & Fly in Annecy
Discover the thrill of hiking and flying in the beautiful city of Annecy. Enjoy stunning views and unforgettable experiences. Let's soar high and make amazing memories!

Hike & Fly... what's that? If we translate, it means walking and flying. But Hike & Fly, sounds much cooler. Hike & Fly is the summer version of sledding in winter: you hike up, and you fly down, this time on a paraglider. To send you into the air, head to Annecy, a hiking paradise. And only a 2.5-hour train ride separates you from an unforgettable experience. First things first, don't worry: yes, you will find tartiflette in the summer and no, the sail won't give way if you've had 3 of them for lunch. On the agenda for this crazy day: a little train ride to Annecy, a small bus to Talloires, and a great hike signed by Helloways to the beautiful Aulp chalet. Then, fasten your seatbelt (or rather your harness) and take off for 20 minutes to 1 hour of flight over Lake Annecy. In terms of budget, expect €90 for a 30-minute flight and €180 for 1 hour!
Have fun!

Traverse the Chartreuse Mountains

The crossing of the Chartreuse is THE must-do hike, it's the adventure of a lifetime (well, maybe just a weekend, let's calm down). Pack your bag and get ready for some serious walking, because it's not just 10 or 20, but a whopping 70 kilometers from Chambéry to Grenoble, straight from station to station, quick as a flash. This hike can be done comfortably in 3 or 4 days, or in 2 days if you're feeling energetic. Either way, you'll fully enjoy the peace and quiet, the chamois, the horses, the green trees, the mountains, and the little marmots.

Tour de la montagne Sainte-Victoire
© Helloways
The Sainte-Victoire mountain, muse of the painter Paul Cézanne (the playful one), is a natural masterpiece that has gained international success thanks to the famous paintings it inspired. While it rises to the peak of Les Mouches at an altitude of 1011 meters, it certainly doesn't miss the mark in the landscape, quite the contrary (haha). For a true change of scenery with the scents of Provence just 3 hours by train from Lyon, there is nothing better. Beautiful trails on either side through the Zola and Bumont lakes, viewpoints at the top that will leave you breathless with an exceptional panorama of the snow-capped Alps to the north, and the lower Provence to the south. This hike is not a walk in the park, for sure, but it is worth it. Hikers, climbers, walkers, or artists, we already know that this hike will captivate you.

Bonus: Tour des Aiguilles Rouges
© Mathilde Jaud
As a bonus, we couldn't resist showing you our little favorite (which will soon become yours too): the Tour des Aiguilles Rouges. Cut off from the world, in a wild, peaceful environment, right in the heart of nature and the mountains. 3 days of walking on aerial and panoramic trails, through waterfalls, streams, forests, meeting marmots and ibexes. Nature at its peak, at its zenith, dare I say... at its climax (we're hardly exaggerating)! We suggest this 3-day hike, but if you're more of a casual Sunday stroller, you can easily do this hike in 4 or 5 days, just make sure you're well equipped (and we have plenty of tips here for you). Happy hiking!
