The Editor

Japanese cuisine is not particularly known for its desserts, and yet... Mochis, these stuffed sticky rice balls, are a true delight for your taste buds. And good news: several restaurants offer them on their dessert menu with different flavors and in frozen or non-frozen versions. Ready to melt with pleasure?

In addition to being one of the best Japanese restaurants in Lyon, Momotaro knows how to surprise everyone with a delightful dessert to finish the meal beautifully. How? With a tempting little pink mochi wrapped in a cherry blossom leaf. And since we are in the mood for love, we offer a variety of flavors including chocolate-vanilla, cherry blossom, mango, and green tea. Love to be consumed without moderation.

You can definitely treat yourself despite having an intolerance. Here's something new with the restaurant Icho, offering these bites of happiness without any trace of gluten. While a classic version with red beans exists, our hearts beat for the frozen version and its various flavors (green tea, mango, lychee, sakura, chocolate-vanilla, and strawberry).

Also known for its Japanese cuisine in the capital of the Gauls, Mont Fuji also knows how to impress with its desserts. Just take a look at the huge green tea, vanilla, blueberry, or our favorite, cherry blossom flavored ice mochis. And no, you're not seeing double, there really are two on the plate. Good luck finishing them all...

The most Korean: Gang Nam

Already an active member of our ranking of the best sushi restaurants in Lyon, Gang Nam clearly requires us to make room for dessert after indulging in sashimi like never before. But trust us, it's worth it. On the menu: a beautiful plate of small Korean mochis to die for. It's impossible to resist them once you have them in front of you. So no need to try.
