Lyonnais gastronomy has no equivalent. To support a sector that is much needed, Le Progrès and the City of Lyon have once again joined forces for the 4th edition of the "Best Neighborhood Restaurant" evening. 12 restaurants were rewarded according to very specific criteria.

On Monday, July 10, the grand evening of the "Best Neighborhood Restaurant" organized by Le Progrès and the City of Lyon took place at the unique setting of Lyon City Hall. The goal was to reward the best restaurants in each district of Lyon. An annual event created in 2019 that highlights Lyon's historic culinary expertise, promoting high-quality cuisine made of fresh, local and seasonal products, friendly and accessible to everyone.

A very precise specification

For this 4th edition, the people of Lyon were invited to vote for their favorite addresses from a selection of over 200 restaurants that meet very specific criteria: a daily special for €14 or less, a maximum of 60 seats, homemade and local cuisine, using seasonal products, and open for more than a year. For the occasion, the top 9 restaurants in each Lyon district, as well as 3 special categories ("world cuisine," "veg-friendly," and "organic"), were honored.
