Lyon's gastronomy continues to make waves, and quite a splash at that! The Gault&Millau 2026 ceremony took place at the Académie, in the stunning Intercontinental – Grand Hôtel Dieu (Lyon 2nd), unveiling the regional awards for Auvergne – Rhône-Alpes. Out of the 11 awards given this year, two Lyon chefs graced the stage and reminded everyone that Lyon remains a powerhouse of fine dining.
In 2025, only Florence Perrier from Café du Peintre was awarded the Tradition of Today prize before passing the torch. In 2026, the new generation and established institutions confirm this exciting trend.
