After the World Pâté en Croûte Championship and the Praline World Championship, Lyon is thrilled to host the best pastry flan contest for the 3rd consecutive year! This year, the delicious event returns, thanks to Radio Scoop and chef Fabrice Bonnot, on April 26 and 27 at Place Antonin Poncet in Lyon's 2nd district for two days of tasty treats.
An exceptional jury for unique creations
For this competition dedicated to one of our favorite pastries, the event will be divided into several categories: young amateurs aged 12 to 16, amateurs from 16 years old, Traditional professionals (from 18 years old), and Creative professionals (from 18 years old), all will have the opportunity to participate in this competition and showcase their talent. For each category, candidates will be pre-selected based on their submissions. Participants will need to whip up two flans on-site while adhering to strict guidelines (height, diameter, and recipe).

Judged on both the taste and beauty of their creations, the winning pastry chefs will take home a lovely prize that is yet to be determined. To evaluate these recipes, Fabrice Bonnot will rely on a star-studded jury consisting of Mercotte, Ju Chamalo, Odile Matteï, and Benjamin Martinetto from the account La Flanterie.
