Grab your chopsticks, because the team behind the packed boxes of Chikin Bang and other successful Asian restaurants is back at it! Vanessa Shi and Stéphane Dayot, a couple in life and a duo in the kitchen, are now diving into Japanese cuisine. The name of the project: Shiyo. Its concept: an all-you-can-eat but semi-gastro experience, set in a sleek, cozy, and downright elegant decor. It's simple: since mid-June, the former Beef House of the Grand Hôtel-Dieu has transformed into a true zen cocoon of 1000 m², designed as a "poetic night," according to Vanessa Shi.

A XXL restaurant with premium all-you-can-eat delights
Here, there’s no impersonal buffet or sad chain sushi. Shiyo focuses on table service and high-quality ingredients. Behind the sharp knives: three master sushi chefs who are ready to wow you with every plate. Langoustines, makis, steamed dishes, stir-fried plates, Japanese tapas... All of it available as much as you want, yes, but with a touch of elegance, quality, and great taste.
Expect to spend between 25.90€ for lunch and between 42.90€ and 46.90€ for dinner for this experience aimed at blending generosity with high standards. The team, which is still recruiting, aims to serve 150 guests and hopes to make Shiyo the new chic and chill Japanese spot in Lyon. All that’s left to do is make a reservation, get excited, and above all... enjoy!
