A fresh breeze of renewal is blowing along the shores of Confluence in Lyon. The Selcius, a colossal gastro-festive establishment that has been docked here for over a decade, has officially changed hands according to information from Lyon People. Behind this high-flying maneuver are the Robert brothers, Rémi and Julien, ambitious young thirty-somethings at the helm of the Home Cooking group. Based in Dijon, they’ve made a lovely double play here: acquiring the business and the property. A rare operation in the sector, it’s almost an achievement.
Already owners of six establishments, these turbo development pros are no strangers to the game! With a mix of franchised brasseries, lively bars, hotels with restaurants, and nightclubs, they master the art of blending styles. And for Selcius, there’s no way they’re turning everything upside down overnight: renovations in the kitchen and on the terrace have begun without closing the place down, and they’re beefing up the brasserie offering to attract more customers.

Is a name change coming for Le Selcius ?
But the real suspense lies in the name: will we stick with Selcius, or will we shift to a 3 Brasseurs sign like the one they already have in Dijon ? The northern brand, expanding rapidly in the region, could be just the boost needed. On the side of the former owners, Benjamin Lavorel breathes a sigh of relief. After investing 1.4 million euros to give the place a makeover during the pandemic, he’s crossing the finish line with a mix of pride and relief. This strategic disengagement will allow La Maison (their flagship in Gerland) to withstand the ongoing construction woes in the neighborhood.

Le Selcius is starting a new chapter with its fifth team. A new direction and a magnificent decor: let the celebration continue!
