It's a new chapter at Place Bellecour! Positioned strategically since 1992, the Italian restaurant Pizza Pino has definitively closed its doors this Sunday, March 3 after a final service, as confirmed by Le Progrès. Often criticized for its lack of quality and acquired in 2022 by the Bertrand Group (owner of Burger King and Au Bureau), the Lyon restaurant is now making way for a new Italian establishment called Volfoni.

Reopening planned for June 2024
The establishment will undergo works until next June before reopening to the public. On the menu, we will find pretty much the same thing: a chic and modern Italian spirit with pizzas, pasta, and other traditional Italian dishes. We still hope that an effort will be made on the quality of the dishes to restore its prestige to this highly prized location for Lyonnais and tourists.
