The verdict came down in just a few minutes: immediate shutdown for Les Saveurs de la Corne d’Afrique.
Worrisome Violations for Public Health
From abandoned equipment to production areas that were far from spotless, and products that were simply unfit for consumption, the picture was grim. Adding to this was the absence of hygienic foot-operated trash cans and even a proper sink for handwashing—in both the production area and the staff restrooms—and it quickly becomes clear why a public health emergency was declared.
A « significant threat » for consumersThe prefecture has classified the restaurant as a verified danger to the health of customers, requiring immediate action. Given the extent of the issues, the authorities did not hesitate. The establishment will need to implement several dozen corrective measures if it hopes to welcome customers again someday. A return to normal will only be possible after a thorough follow-up inspection.
