The capital of the Gauls has just lost one of its stars. After ten years of delightful indulgence, the Passe Temps, a restaurant recognized in the Michelin guide and located in the 6th arrondissement of Lyon, has closed its doors and packed up heading for Paris. The opening is scheduled for the end of next year, and Parisians can truly rejoice at the thought of soon savoring the chef's exquisite dishes!
A Franco-Korean Fusion Cuisine
Opened in 2014 by the Korean chef Younghoon Lee – a graduate of the Paul Bocuse Institute (now called Institut Lyfe) – the Passe Temps blends the best of France and Korea on our plates. In the kitchen, they honor classic French cuisine and enhance it with vibrant, umami-rich Korean flavors. The result? You might find on the menu, for example, a meltingly tender red tuna tartare with beetroot and crème fraîche, or a low-temperature cooked monkfish medallion with white kimchi sauce...
But in reality, the menu changes quite frequently...
cute; playfully, through the seasons and the arrivals. A kitchen that earned the restaurant its first star in the Michelin guide in 2016, just two years after it opened. As for the price, you can expect to pay between 75 and 115€ for a discovery menu at lunch, and 125€ for a seven-course dinner.Voir cette publication sur Instagram
The Final Curtain for Passe Temps Lyonnais
On the restaurant's Instagram account, Chef Younghoon Lee announced the permanent closure of his Lyon restaurant. The address served its final dinner on the evening of December 14, and has started a long moving period before its opening in Paris at the end of 2025 (or even early 2026) in a much larger space. For now, we don’t yet know its new neighborhood. What we do know, however, is that the chef plans to keep the same name and the same concept, but sadly will lose his precious star. Still, we have no doubt that he will conquer his new territory with ease.
