Located on rue de la Monnaie, right in the heart of the Lyon Presqu'île, the restaurant Casabea is turning a challenging page. Just two months ago, the establishment was struck by a blast on September 30, a tragedy that seriously injured three employees and deeply affected the neighborhood. As if that wasn't enough, a fire hit the terrace on the night of October 8-9, leading to an immediate closure and the sealing of the premises as part of the investigation. This incident resulted in the arrest of a man in his fifties, known unfavorably in the area. Today, Casabea is reopening, determined to turn this ordeal into a fresh start.

A close-knit team, driving this new chapter
Béatrice and Grégoire Talamon, the managers, say they are “eager” to welcome their customers back. They extend a huge thank you to everyone who sent messages, support, and presence throughout this challenging period. They also acknowledge a team that stayed united and mobilized, ready to get the establishment back on its feet. A special thought goes out to Chef Suren, who is still recovering but remains fully involved in the preparations. Thanks to this solidarity, Casabea is coming back stronger, true to its unique atmosphere and the energy that makes it a success.
