A simple detour down Rue de la Charité, in the stylish 2nd arrondissement of Lyon, was all it took to be whisked away to northern Italy, surrounded by divine charcuterie and golden, perfectly cooked tigelle bread. Più Tigelleria was a delightful hub of gourmet street food, a true slice of Emilia-Romagna nestled in the heart of the Presqu'île de Lyon since 2022. People came to discover (and mostly devour) the famous tigella, this small, soft flatbread, cooked in its traditional cast iron press, ready to cradle the best of Italy between each bite.

The Lyonnais Temple of Tigellas Takes Its Bow

Carefully selected charcuteries, melting cheeses, marinated vegetables, and sweet treats... Più definitely went all out. Everything was sourced with love, often organic, and always authentic. And then there was that little grocery and catering corner that would make anyone swoon: sliced mortadella, creamy burrata, antipasti galore... A true haven for foodies who adore the dolce vita.

But here we are, after delighting the taste buds of Lyon's foodies, Più Tigelleria has decided to close its doors. The reasons? Not specified yet. What’s certain is that a piece of Modena is fading with this closure, leaving a little gap in the city's culinary scene. Tigelle fans can still hope for a comeback elsewhere, but in the meantime, we’ll have to find comfort in some homemade burrata and a splash of lambrusco.
